Customer Experience – Lorraine & Tony

“Five Star Service,

they really know their stuff”

Lorraine and Tony are still talking about their experience with Fairway some months later, and we asked an independent marketing consultant to interview them on our behalf.

Having spoken to Lorraine for quite some time it was very clear that their experience had been a good one, in fact, they told me Fairway had provided a “five-star service, and that they really did know their stuff!”

It all began when they felt the need to move to a smaller property due to health reasons.  Their five-bedroom property was starting to feel too large, however, as they looked around at bricks and mortar the options seemed a bit restrictive.  They did find a lovely bungalow, but it needed far too much work doing and bearing in mind that they had just completed an extension on their current home, it wasn’t for them.

At the time, they weren’t familiar with park homes, however, while searching they came across the option and began some research.  They viewed a show home local to them and really loved it, and so the search began.

Being based in Somerset, they wanted to remain local, so started looking for residential parks in their area until they found the one for them.  The park owner recommended Fairway Park & Leisure Homes for the purchase of their home.

While doing this they put their house on the market, which was in the July, and were amazed to sell their property in just 2 weeks.  By December they were moving into their exciting new home.

Designing their home

They visited Fairway’s Design Studio in Warwickshire and were amazed at how easy Lisa made it for them.  Lorraine commented, “Dan and Lisa were absolutely brilliant. We didn’t know anything about designing our home and needed guidance, but they worked through a list of questions, one room at a time.  I work from home and have specific requirements for my study, so Dan redesigned the room to meet my requirements.”

Lorraine was still excited about her home, which is a Preston, and mentioned some other aspects she was thrilled with which included an island in the kitchen and a non-slip shower tray.

Regular updates

It appears that neither Lorraine or Tony had to ask for updates on their home during the manufacturing process as they were sent regular updates with videos and/or photos every week, so much so that Lorraine never had to chase for anything.

She said “The whole experience was brilliant.  The team are clearly experienced.  We love our new home.”

The Preston’s arrival

Tony works in construction so was very interested in seeing the process in the factory and the work involved when it arrived on-site.  Once it had been sited on its plot, Dan and the team arrived to finish the home internally.  This even involved setting up furniture.

There have been a few bits and pieces of work required since then, however, it was always dealt with quickly and efficiently.  Lorraine had nothing but praise for the team, who she said were lovely and a very happy workforce.

Their experience

Lorraine was clearly happy with how much space her home offered them and her son who lives with them, especially as they had been used to a much larger property.

They are only a few miles from their previous home, so from the point of commuting to work and keeping in touch with friends and family, it is a perfect location.

And as for park home living.  It has lived up to expectations and they are pleased with their move.  They are enjoying the lifestyle and the friendly environment it offers.  In fact, Lorraine said they must have spoken to more neighbours in the short time they have lived in their new home, than in the 13 years in their previous one!!

The park life also works well for their two dogs Tyson and Rocky and has the seal of approval from their 3 children and 3 grandchildren, who also love their new home.

Preston overview

Their home is 45ft x 20ft and comprises of spacious lounge, study, equipped kitchen/diner with separate utility room.  The master bedroom has en-suite, the second bedroom is a double, and to finish the home, there is a family bathroom.  This is of course only a summary, as the overall home features many aspects, such as fitted wardrobes and integrated appliances in the kitchen.
